Jon King Electrical - Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction: These terms and conditions govern the provision of electrical services and products by Jon King Electrical ("the Company") to the customer ("the Client"). By engaging in business with Jon King Electrical, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Estimates: All estimates provided by Jon King Electrical are approximations only. Jon King Electrical is under no obligation to adhere strictly to these estimates but must communicate with the Client should the job require extensive work beyond the estimated timeframe.
3. Ownership of Materials: All materials, products, and equipment provided by Jon King Electrical remain the property of Jon King Electrical until the invoice is paid in full. The Client agrees to allow Jon King Electrical access to the premises to retrieve any unpaid-for materials in the event of non-payment and waives their right to legal recourse.
4. Payment: Payment for services and materials must be made in full within 7 days of the invoice. Failure to make payment within the stipulated time may result in late fees and interest charges. Jon King Electrical reserves the right to suspend further services until all outstanding amounts are settled.
5. Right to Refuse Business: Jon King Electrical reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at its discretion, including situations deemed unsafe, illegal, or incompatible with the Company's business principles. The Company will communicate any refusal of business and send a final invoice in a timely and professional manner.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling: The Client may cancel or reschedule services by providing a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Otherwise, cancellation fees may apply.
7. Warranty and Liability: Jon King Electrical provides a lifetime guarantee on workmanship, ensuring services are executed with the highest level of skill and expertise. Replacement of materials supplied by the Company is subject to the specific warranty periods specified by the supplier. In the event of a material defect within the warranty period, the Client may be responsible for the cost of labor associated with the replacement of faulty materials. The Client agrees to report any issues within a reasonable timeframe to allow for the assessment and potential replacement of faulty materials under warranty.
8. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Jon King Electrical will perform all services in accordance with relevant Australian laws and regulations stipulated in AS3000. The Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits and approvals required for the work to be performed. By engaging in business with Jon King Electrical, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions. Jon King Electrical reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time, and such changes will be communicated to the Client.
